“UFOs and God” Wins Best Investigative Documentary

POOLEVILLE, Texas — September 28, 2026 — Filmmakers Wes and Amanda Llewellyn took home the award for Best Investigative Documentary at Christian Media Association’s Content26, one of the Christian media industry’s major conferences, held at Capernaum Studios in Pooleville, Texas.

The husband-and-wife filmmaking team, who served as co-directors of UFOs and God, were on hand to accept the award following a week of networking, podcasts and filmmaking instruction at the conference. Wes and Amanda Llewellyn also taught a directing class during a Content26 breakout session.

UFOs and God examines the UFO phenomenon through a Christian lens, bringing together interviews with astrophysicists, researchers, theologians and people who describe themselves as UFO experiencers. The documentary presents an accessible and entertaining overview of the subject while exploring questions of science, spirituality and faith.

Accepting the award, Amanda Llewellyn thanked the film’s production team, including executive producer Derrick Warfel of WinterStar Productions, as well as producers Bill Myers and Paul Arroyo of Amaris Media International.

Wes Llewellyn reflected on the experience of making the couple’s first documentary.

“People always ask me what I learned making this documentary,” Wes said. “First off, I learned how hard it is to make a documentary. It’s the first one we ever made, and I have a whole new respect for documentarians.”

He added that the production deepened his understanding of both God’s power and the reality of spiritual opposition.

“And I learned, we never understand exactly how powerful that Name is,” Llewellyn said. “It is the most powerful name in the universe… Jesus Christ.”

UFOs and God is currently available for streaming through Amazon Prime, iTunes, Apple TV, Google Play, Vimeo and other streaming platforms.
